Spaß
Das Dorf Reeth in Swaledale, mein major chief Urlaubsort, wird dem nichtsahnenden Zuschauer in Staffel 5, Folge 8 in genau dieser Ansicht als „Darrowby“ verkauft.
Ist schon etwas angestaubt heute, aber in den 80ern war die TV-Serie „All Creatures Great and Small“ (deutsch: „Der Doktor und das liebe Vieh“) Allgemeinbildung. Ich habe sie damals allerdings verpasst (wir hatten ja nix) und erst ab etwa 2010 nachgeholt – nachdem ich nämlich mich zuvor für die Yorkshire Dales begeistert habe, die Landschaft, in der die Serie spielt.
Da fast alle Außenaufnahmen der Serie auch tatsächlich in den Dales gedreht wurden, die ich bis dahin auch schon kreuz und quer zu durchstreifen begonnen hatte, kam immer wieder mal ein déjà vu – „das kenne ich doch!“
Hier eine Tabelle der Locations, die ich bereits ermittelt habe, zur allgemeinen Erheiterung. Aus Kompatibilitätsgründen hab ich die Tabelle gleich auf Englisch geführt. In der linken Spalte stehen Staffel und Episode, CS steht für Christmas Special (drei davon wurden produziert – 1983, 1985 und 1990).
Darin ist nichts klickbar, aber die Koordinatenangaben können ohne weiteres in Googlemaps oder OpenStreetMap ins Suchfenster eingeworfen werden, dann kommt schon das Richtige raus.
